Vittrup photograph collection covers the final segment of General Vittrup's career, during the time he wore one, two, and three stars. The primary subjects of the photos are: a trip to Mexico, ca. 1953; 24th Infantry Division and 8th Army staff in Korea, 1956-1957; photos from Indonesia and Hawaii in 1958 when he was deputy chief of staff for operations, U.S. Army Pacific; Secretary of the Army award ceremony in 1961, when he was deputy chief of staff for Personnel; American Legion social function in 1965, just after his retirement; and lots of photos of receptions, banquets, ceremonies, etc.
